How The Program Works

Operation 36 is designed to be tech friendly for families to following along with program progress. Coaches can communicate with you about progress, help set goals, and give you the tools for you or your junior to guide them outside of class.

Golfers Play 9 Holes from Division 1 (25 yards)

Instead of starting at the full tee box, all golfers begin in Division 1 and will play 9 holes starting 25 years from each green.

Shoot par (36) or better to pass each Division

When they shoot par (36) or better, the golfer progresses to Division 2, where they start 50 yards from each green.

Complete the Division 10 Challenge

This challenge continues until the golfer can shoot par (36) from all 10 Divisions and master the Operations 36 Program!

Most junior programs are incomplete. That is why the Harvest Golf Club Junior Academy uses the Operation 36 development model which centers around playing golf. The goal is to help your junior shoot par (36) or better for 9 holes.

We believe that every golf program should be centered around playing golf and making it fun to track progress over time. This is why our facility is excited to be a licensed Operations 36 facility. We leverage Ops36 development model and technology to make it fun for our golfers to improve their skills.

FAQ - Operation 36

  • Op36 9 Hole Events – These take place on various the golf courses in Kelowna and provide players an opportunity to work through different divisions when they shoot 36 or lower for nine holes. All players start on Division 1 which is 25 yards from the hole.

    Op36 Classes – These take place at The Harvest Golf Club driving range and provide players coaching support on the 12 skills outlined in the Op36 skill development curriculum. These sessions are an hour long and will help players develop the required skills for the Op36 9 Hole Events.

  • CLASSES:

    Monday: Ladies, Jr - Div 1, and Jr – “Girls Only”

    Wednesday: Ladies

    Thursday: Jr - Div 2 – 3

    Saturday: Ladies & Older Juniors

    OP36 9 Hole Matches:

    Sunday predominantly with the odd event on Tuesday evening

  • Winter - Jan - Mid March

    Spring – Mid April to end of June

    Fall – September until mid-October

  • Our 12-week spring semester costs $825 for Juniors and $600 for Ladies. Our 8-week fall semester costs $500. Fees are paid upon registration.

  • We require all players to be at least turning 7 in the calendar year.

  • Yes. We do require all players to have their own set of clubs to use for the program. As a starting point, we recommend players have a set of 5 clubs (Putter, PW, mid iron, hybrid, and Driver). We will provide all players / families recommendations on equipment at the start of the Semester.

  • Yes. All players under the age of 18 require a parent caddy for Op36 matches. The parent can be anyone over the age of 18. This could be an older sibling, parent, aunt, uncle or grandparent.

    PARENT WORKSHOP

  • Cancellation More Than 30 Days Before Start Date of Program:

    • Participants who cancel their registration more than 30 days before the program start date can receive a full credit towards a future semester or camp.

    • If preferred, participants can request a refund instead of a credit, subject to a $25 processing fee.

    Cancellation Within 30 Days of Start Date:

    • No refunds or credits will be issued for cancellations made within 30 days of the program start date.
